About the event
Hosted in partnership with Shriners Children's Northern California, PediOrtho West Resident Training Course is a full-day, hands-on educational course designed for orthopedic residents. The program blends case-based discussion with immersive skills labs covering the core of pediatric orthopedic practice- from supracondylar humerus and forearm fracture management to Ponseti casting, SCFE screw fixation, hip dysplasia, pelvic and femoral osteotomies, pediatric sports injuries, and advanced deformity correction techniques including pedicle screw placement, scoliosis correction, and circular external fixation.
Residents rotate through small-group skills stations led by expert faculty, gaining direct, practical experience with the techniques and procedures central to pediatric orthopedic care.
